The Farm

We are Free. We are Local.

Thanks to your generosity, Milwaukee has a Farm that helps feed our community, providing more than 25 varieties of fresh produce each season. We need help from our community to ensure a steady stream of fresh fruits and vegetables for Milwaukeeans in need. You can help support next year’s crops through our Adopt-A-Crop program!

🗸 $25: Supplies a bushel of sweet corn to a local pantry
🗸 $50: Grows 100 heads of lettuce for local families
🗸 $100: Provides 40 lbs. of green beans to local seniors
🗸 $250: Sponsors an acre’s worth of broccoli seed

We have ongoing opportunities for volunteers (both individuals and groups) to get their hands dirty from April through mid-October. Join us and help provide a steady supply of fresh fruits and vegetables to Milwaukee’s hungry. Activities include preparing new plants in the greenhouse, planting, harvesting & cleaning fresh produce, oak savanna restoration, field maintenance and more!

Keep in Mind:

Dress appropriately for working outside. Loose fitting layers you don’t mind getting dirty are best. Activities involve a lot of bending and stretching, volunteers must be in good physical condition.

To volunteer, fill out the online form and you will be contacted once approved. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact Sarah Anderson at (414) 238-6499 or
